Features › Cart and checkout
A cart and checkout built into your WordPress site: guest or account checkout, the questions you need answered, tax worked out for every address, and protection from card-testing bots.

Every extra step, missing question or failed payment at checkout is an order you worked hard for and didn’t get.
The classic checkout walks shoppers through details, shipping and payment, and works in every edition. With PRO, switch on the one-page checkout: everything on a single page without reloads, shown as steps if you like, with quantities editable right there. Guest checkout, a shipping estimator, a terms checkbox and tips are included in Free.
Add your own questions anywhere in the checkout: a delivery date, a tax ID, how they heard about you. Choose from 14 kinds of field, ask only when it applies to the cart, country, payment method or customer, and find every answer on the order, the emails, the packing slip and the invoice.
Bots use checkouts to find out which stolen cards still work, and every attempt can cost you a gateway fee. WP EasyCart counts failed payments by device, network address, email and card, pauses the bad actors, and asks for a quick human check only when something looks wrong. It is on at Standard in every store, Free included.
Set a rate per state, province or country, charge VAT with a separate rate for VAT-registered businesses and Vatlayer number checks, and handle Canadian GST, PST and HST and duty on orders shipped abroad, all in Free. PRO adds live US sales tax from TaxCloud or TaxJar, and Premium adds Avalara AvaTax.
Start with the free WordPress shopping cart plugin and add what your store needs.
Each one installs in a click from EasyCart › Extensions.
Calculates sales tax at checkout and records every order in Avalara, so your returns include your store’s sales.
Confirms a shopper’s age before age-restricted products are sold, and keeps a record of each check on the order.

Yes, with PRO. Turn it on under Settings › Checkout and the whole checkout runs on one page without reloads. You can show it as steps, send shoppers to the cart first or straight into checkout, and let them change quantities on the checkout page. The classic checkout in steps is included in every edition.
Yes. Guest checkout works in every edition. Downloads, subscriptions and gift cards still need an account, so those shoppers create one as they check out. Shoppers with an account see their orders, receipts and saved addresses on the account page.
With PRO, open Settings › Checkout fields. Add text, dropdowns, checkboxes, dates, numbers, consent boxes and more, place them anywhere in the classic or one-page checkout, and show them only when they apply. The checkout fields guide covers every option.
Checkout protection is on in every store. It limits failed payments per shopper and per card, pauses shoppers who keep failing, spots store-wide attacks, and can ask for a Cloudflare Turnstile or Google reCAPTCHA check. See how to stop card-testing bots.
Yes, with PRO, through Stripe or Square. PRO also adds Stripe Link, and Venmo, Pay Later and a cart-page button for PayPal. The free plugin takes cards through Stripe or Square, and PayPal.
Yes. Every edition charges tax by state, province or country, VAT with VAT number checks, and Canadian GST, PST and HST. PRO adds live US sales tax from TaxCloud or TaxJar, and Premium adds Avalara AvaTax. Start with setting up sales tax and VAT.
Yes. Turn on “Load the cart dynamically” under Settings › Checkout and the cart, checkout and account pages fetch their contents fresh, so a caching plugin never shows one shopper another shopper’s cart.
Install the free plugin for a complete checkout, or try PRO free for the one-page checkout, wallets and your own checkout fields.
